Originally written as a ballad, this song came to be after a year of unsuspecting changes and revelations. Penned as a means to an end; a letter to a lost love with a final word of advice. After losing someone you care so deeply about, it was the best course of action not to jump to rash decisions until the facts were in. Consequently, betrayal realized in hindsight is like a sword swallowing act. Although you've done all you can do, sometimes a life you didn't choose chooses you.
